Located in the Mercer Walk development on Seven Dials, (opposite Neil Rankin’s new Temper site), Maison Bab comprises a new style modern kebab house, bar, and a hidden 10-seater chef’s table restaurant. Expect a relaxed and super-casual vibe, paying homage to the authentic kebab houses that were the duo's original inspiration.
Split across two floors, Maison Bab offers 40-covers at ground level, with a further 30 seats in the basement space - with colourful interiors designed in collaboration with award-winning design studio Angus Buchanan (also designed Le Bab).
Le Bab's head chef Manu Canales Garces (former sous chef at the two Michelin-starred Le Gavroche), heads up the kitchen with a menu which features handmade kebabs (using ancient charcoal-grill traditions) alongside a selection of modern mezze, sides and desserts.
Gourmet kebabs
A hidden back room - the Kebab Queen, nestled downstairs behind the kitchen, is the site’s crown jewel. Acting as head chef Manu’s intimate chef’s table - the snug fine dining restaurant seats up to 10 guests around the open kitchen.
Onglet kebab with fresh green peppercorn mayo & dressed watercress and a vegan option of slow-grilled celeriac shish with carrot puree & crispy onions.
‘Tea for summer’, with muddled peach, hibiscus and gin, and the ‘Grapsico’, which brings together South America and Italy using pisco and dry vermouth.
