A design-focused restaurant housed in a lovingly and dramatically transformed former Grade II-listed Victorian pub, on a corner block in London’s Pimlico neighbourhood. Omar's Place (named after the Egyptian-born restaurateur owner) offers a delightful touch of the Mediterranean - both from a convivial ambience and avant-garde cuisine - with a menu specialising in tapas and sharing plates. Mallorcan-born “Michelin-kitchen veteran” chef Vicente Fortea has reimagined his grandmother’s favourite recipes - selected from the coastal towns around the Mediterranean - into contemporary tapas.
Interiors are by studio Sella Concept (with architecture consultancy Wilson Holloway) who took the sun as inspiration and mood-board - complete with earthy rusty hued banquettes and asymmetrical brass pendant lamps.
Mediterranean meals
