Morimoto

Expect a contemporary Japanese menu infused with traditional dishes with Western ingredients and preparation techniques, by Japanese celebrity chef Masaharu Morimoto.

Under the direction of Chef Morimoto - the team includes several specialist sushi and teppan chefs hailing from Morimoto restaurants around the world - cooking up a seasonal and ever-changing selection using the best produced sourced from markets across the globe, including the famed Tsukiji market in Tokyo. 

Traditional sushi is served from a 24-seat sushi counter, and a live teppanyaki counter is headed up by one of Morimoto’s best teppan chefs from the Michelin-starred Tokyo restaurant. The restaurant is located on the 23rd and 24th floor of Renaissance Downtown Hotel. and comprises of 250 restaurant seats as well as a lounge, large bar area, teppanyaki, sushi counter, three private dining rooms and four outdoor terraces, including private access terraces with undisturbed views of the Burj Khalifa. Morimoto Dubai is open daily for dinner. 

Masaharu Morimoto is best known as the star of the Japanese cooking show Iron Chef, as well as its spinoff, Iron Chef America. The 62-year-old trained as a sushi chef in Japan before moving to the US in 1985, where he joined the famed Nobu restaurant in New York. He opened his own restaurant, Morimoto, in Philadelphia in 2001, followed by branches in Mumbai, New York, and the Michelin star-rated Morimoto XEX in Tokyo.
