Torno Subito – translating to “I’ll be right back” is chef Bottura’s first restaurant outside Italy. The restaurant located in the W Dubai Hotel on The Palm, wants to take ‘guests on a journey back to 1960s Italy, where the vibe is sophisticated and social, but laidback’ with a décor of pastel colours and playful touches.
Massimo Bottura’s three-Michelin-starred tasting menu venue, Osteria Francescana, in Italy’s Emilia-Romagna region, returned to the top spot on the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list. The Modena-born chef previously worked at legendary French chef Alain Ducasse’s Le Louis XV in Monaco and at El Bulli with Ferran Adria. His restaurant is famous for juxtaposing Italian tradition with French sensibilities and unhinged avant-gardism.
Open for lunch and dinner, food (sticking with his Italian roots) is ‘deeply personal nostalgia’ mixed with ‘decidedly avant garde’ dishes on a menu of Massimo’s favourite recipes. Dine both indoors and on the terrace, and dishes are also available to order for a picnic on the lagoon or to your bed at the beach. There's also a roaming gelato cart.
Playful & witty design, laid-back dining
