New Fall Dishes

Lona debuts new plates to celebrate autumn.

Lona Cocina y Tequileria has introduced its new Fall dishes and cocktails. Located at the The Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort, the Mexican eatery welcomes U with cool ocean breezes, craft cocktails and Chef Pablo Salas’ cuisine. 

New dishes include Croquetas de Jamon Confitado with carnitas, ranchera, sweet chipotle and blonde frisée; Grilled Octopus with salsa de anticucho dulce, Mexican rice, fingerling chips and salsa poblano; Lamb Tamale with adobo roasted lamb, pumpkin tamale, salsa halambre and pasilla sauce; Ceviche Vuelve a la Vida with charred octopus, bay scallops, snow crab claws, rock shrimp, ancho cocktail sauce, avocado and cilantro; and Short Ribs with salsa borracha, boniato mash and watercress cilantro.

Hot innovative pours that complement the new dishes include El Jefe’s Lemonade with Hangar One Buddha’s Hand Citron, strawberries, cilantro-infused lemonade and raw sugar; La Curandera with The Botanist Gin, Amaro Nonino, smoked rosemary sprig, lime and agave; La Madam with Chateau Montand Rose, Zaya Rum, Grand Gala and passionfruit puree; Choco Loco Margarita with Espolon Reposado; Aanbieden Chocolate Liquor; Cointreau, Abuelita’s chocolate and cream. And if U are looking for an even more flavorful splurge, El Capo made with Clase Azul Ultra Anejo, Grand Marnier 1880, lime, agave and gold flakes will run U only $325.
