The Ivy Chelsea Garden has opened on the iconic King's Road, taking over the site which formerly housed Henry J Beans. The building has been refurbished to create a (all-day) dining destination restaurant, notable for its exceptional garden and outside space and that's exactly what to expect with this great Chelsea addition.
The restaurant is made up of various areas, each with a defined character, (including a bar and bar lounge, café, restaurant, orangery, terrace and garden). The interiors (designed by Martin Brudnizki, of course) give a combined sense of vintage and luxury...think black and white marble mosaic floors, antique mirrors and bronzed lanterns.
The menu is focused on modern British and international dishes (from breakfast, elevenses, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and weekend brunch). Dishes include raw yellow fin tuna carpaccio with spiced avocado, lime zest, crème fraîche and coriander shoots and chopped lobster rigatoni bake with Amalfi lemon and zucchini. The extensive cocktail list includes a combination of classics and some inventive creations which the bar's mixologists have come up with. There are some great food and cocktail pairings for lunch and dinner to keep your eye out for.
Offering easy (all-day) access, with over half the tables available to 'walk-ins', ideal for lesuirely stops.
