Located adjacent to Oxford Street, the bar serves an extensive Japanese led drinks menu and freshly grilled Kushiyaki skewers, in a relaxed (unbookable) environment. The concept is based on the pubs and bars found in Japan, acting as a ‘pit-stop’ for a ‘pint and skewer’ before heading home after work.
The menu offers over 20 varieties of freshly prepared skewers and is divided simply into: ‘Kushiyaki’ – grilled skewers served with salt or teriyaki sauce; and ‘Kushiyage’ – fried skewers served with miso and dashi sauce.
The ground floor is focused on casual drinking with a large slate fronted bar, exposed wooden walls and limited seating, and an open kitchen bringing an element of theatre to the space. Downstairs there is a collection of tables and stools and an additional bar.
