Award winning Dinner by Heston Blumenthal has reopened with Chef Ashley Palmer-Watts at the helm showcasing a new selection of dishes. Heston Blumenthal's flagship eatery (there's an oupost in Melbourne and another opening in Dubai), is also one of the world’s most celebrated restaurants.
First conceived in the late 1990s, the idea for Dinner sprung from Heston’s fascination with the savoury ice creams of the late 1800s, the theatre of the Tudor dining experience and the dishes featured in Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. Dinner’s thrilling menu, perfectly fuses the historic with the contemporary in a uniquely exciting and inventive manner.
The restaurant’s interiors are perferctly contemporary with floor-to-ceiling glass walls into the kitchen and windows with uninterrupted views of Hyde Park, King Henry VIII’s former hunting grounds, bringing the historical connection full circle.
For a behind the scenes dining experience, the Chef’s Table offers an intimate insight into the activity of the kitchen. Accommodating four to six guests, a bespoke menu, created by Chef Director Ashley Palmer-Watts, is served direct to your table by the head chef.
Plum Meat Fruit with spiced red wine, chicken liver parfait & grilled bread; roast marrowbone royale with smoked anchovy, snails, radish, mace & lovage; roast venison with braised & grilled red cabbage & pickled cherries and roast Iberico pork chop with smoked hispi cabbage, pickled onion, ice cider & Robert sauce.
