A permanent outpost of the popular Southern-inspired New York City eatery.

Having hosted a pop-up at the Shelborne South Beach, this permanent outpost located in South Miami is another tribute to the timeless recipes and traditions of rural America, with southern specialties and a menu of farm-fresh ingredients that are seasonal and locally sourced. Owners Jeff McInnis and Janine Booth (both alums of “Top Chef") are also behind Stiltsville Fish Bar in Miami Beach. 

Similar to their New York outpost, the South Miami indoor / outdoor space features distressed wood, white-washed brick with vintage tables and chairs. The down-home menu includes their best-selling items from their Manhattan’s East Village branch along with Miami-specific items, such as, grilled mango salad, a Southern-inspired arepa, a selection of roasted and grilled local vegetables, and a unique sauce for their fried chicken. 

Unlike Root & Bone's locations in New York and Miami Beach, South Miami features a large bar area focused on scotch, whiskey and bourbon spirits.
