Acclaimed Chef Michelle Bernstein has returned to Miami with Cafe La Trova, a restaurant and cocktail bar that's a celebration of Cuban culture from the 1950’s. Known for her fresh, flavorful, Latin-inspired cooking Bernstein is dishing up authentic Cuban dishes - in her own signature style (think paella croqueta and beef empanadas) - washed down by classic cocktails prepared by Cantinero-Bartender Julio Cabrera. Open nightly from 6pm to late.
The spirit of Cuba
Paella croquetas, served with a shot of seafood caldo and saffron aioli; mezcal tempura fried calamari and the Juicy Lucia, a burger filled with Manchego and cheddar cheeses, topped with gravy, and served on a seeded bun.
The Buenavista, Bombay Sapphire gin with cucumber, mint, elderflower liqueur, lime juice, and sugar, and the El Guayabero, a blend of Casa Noble reposado tequila, guava marmalade, cayenne-agave syrup, and lime juice, as well as mojitos and old-fashioneds.
