Before opening Obra Kitchen Table, Carlos Garcia was best known for his restaurant Alto in Caracas, which holds a spot on Latin America's 50 Best Restaurants - and having trained at the legendary El Bulli and El Celler de Can Roc restaurants.
Obra has quickly become a Brickell favorite due to its inventive take on Venezuelan cuisine and simpler, humbler fare - than his accomplished counterpart. Expect Latin American cuisine with international influences, highlighting flavors from Chile, Peru, Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela, Colombia, and Mexico - with many items cooked in a Josper grill.
The restaurant is located on the ground level of Jade and created by James Beard Award Winner Alejandro Barrios, who brings together Miami's brightness with the coziness of a neighborhood restaurant. Open for lunch and dinner, Monday through Saturday.
Kitchen suppers, casual eats
