The masterminds behind the acclaimed Kyu, the modern Asian-style grill restaurant, are behind this casual eatery restaurant on the site which housed their short lived Laid Fresh venture. The restaurant, founded by Michael Sponaugle, already has locations in St. Petersburg (Florida) and even in Berlin - has been inspired by traditional Japanese Izakayas and features dishes such as yakitori and wagyu kushiyaki grilled over binchotan charcoal and a duck dumpling hotpot.
There's also a hidden cocktail den which takes inspiration from Tokyo’s Golden Gai, a collection of over 200 micro-bars occupying the alleyways of a district in Shinjuku, Japan. Inside, there's a list of rare Japanese whiskies and craft cocktails.
