The third outpost (the others are in San Francisco and Houston) of International Smoke, a collaboration between James Beard winning Chef Michael Mina and bestselling cookbook author Ayesha Curry. The Aventura Mall based restaurant features both indoor and outdoor dining in a cozy-chic, rustic atmosphere with graffiti murals painted by world-renowned colorist Edward Granger.
From the menu expect flavorful smoked and grilled foods using infused techniques, flavors, and ingredients from different cultures, such as Japanese, Jamaican, and Korean, with their own unique twist. Wash down with smoky libations, homemade pickle-back shots and their signature sharing punch bowls.
Bringing the heat
Smoke burrata with beets, mandarins, Calabrian chili, and curry; Sinaloa chicken served with flavorful sweet potatoes, avocado, and pickled red onion; smoked Korean short rib with sticky rice, kimchi, scallion, and jalapeƱo; and St. Louis-style pork ribs made with an in-house artisanal spice rub.
