Milroy's of Soho

“Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whiskey is barely enough.” - The oldest whisky shop in London, has recently relaunched, complete with a brand new basement cocktail and whisky bar.

Founded by the Milroy brothers in the 1960s, Milroy's of Soho is a whisky emporium that is every whisky drinker's dream. Carrying more than 700 carefully selected bottlings, from time honoured favourites from the Scottish highlands and islands, and the Emerald Isle, to super smooth American bourbons, as well as the award winning Milroy’s of Soho Single Cask Bottlings. Canadian and Japanese varieties also lead a plethora of varieties from more remarkable locations. This shop is a haven for enthusiasts with an astounding selection of the finest whiskies in the world, (which would take years of liver-annihilating drinking to fully explore). If you are still a whiskey newbie, however, you can get advice from the vastly knowledgeable staff as they'll guide you to the perfect bottle.

Downstairs, guests will find The Vault – (a cocktail bar with room to seat 55 people offering seasonal beverages crafted with home infused spirits, as well as a private Barrel Room with room to accommodate 12 visitors). On the ground floor there is a 12-seater whisky bar, Milroy’s Bar, offering more than 250 different whiskies (in 35ml servings). Guests who buy a bottle of whisky worth more than £200 at the bar will receive a key to a locker with their name, where they can store the whisky until their next visit.

Tutored events regularly take place in the spacious tasting cellar (and a schedule of ticketed events is available to the public throughout the year, whilst many enjoy privately commissioned evenings).

Invitational master-classes, a highlight for regular customers, are carried out by master blenders and renowned whisky experts.
