Summer Pop-Ups in the Hamptons

Discover the best gastronomic pop-ups to seek out in the Hamptons this summer...

Brooklyn Chop House at Capri Hotel

Downtown Manhattan eatery Brooklyn Chop House is hosting an all-summer-long pop-up at the historic Capri Hotel in Southampton. Following last year's successful pop-up, the chic American chophouse makes a return to The Hamptons for all summer long all-day residency at the beach-chic Capri Hotel in Southampton. The menu revolves around dim sum, classic steaks and chops - offering a variety of options such as Philly cheesesteak dumplings, Peking duck tacos, and 50-60 day dry-aged prime steaks and double thick cut chops. A poolside menu featuring satays and dumplings is also available for lunch. All washed down by innovative libations. Opening Memorial Day Weekend and closing following Labor Day Weekend.

Shuko Beach

The acclaimed and New York's hippest Japanese omakase and kaiseki restaurant, Shuko, is offering beachgoers a unique dining experience at Highway Restaurant & Bar in East Hampton as they head back East for yet another summer pop-up. The spot debuted in Manhattan in 2013 to high acclaim, presenting exquisite and authentic omakase and kaiseki dining in a hip and intimate setting - by chefs Nick Kim and Jimmy Lau, formerly of Neta and Masa. With a quaint sushi counter and lively hip-hop music playing in the background. Dine on a mouth-watering 15-course omakase experience (priced from $200 per person) as well as an a la carte menu. The pop-up launches on June 7th and reside until Labor Day, available on Fridays and Saturdays until June 27th, when it will launch Thursday evening service. Paola East

For almost 30 years, Executive Chef Paola Bottero has offered an authentic Italian dining experience on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. This icon of the Carnegie Hill neighborhood is taking over the space vacated by Daniel Humm's EMP Summer House. Expect a condensed version of his classic Italian menu: Cacio e pepe, linguine with clams, and bucatini all’amatriciana with smoked bacon and tomatoes with dishes inspired by local produce and ingredients. Throughout the season they will be hosting live jazz sessions and cooking classes.
