Bar Douro City

Building on the success of the original Bar Douro, is this City outpost dishing up a contemporary take on Portuguese cuisine alongside expertly sourced regional wines.

Drawing inspiration from the traditional cervejarias and tascas of Lisbon and Porto, the rustic restaurant offers a contemporary take on Portuguese cuisine alongside expertly sourced regional wines. Following on from the success of their Flat Iron Square site, Bar Douro City is housed in a Grade II-listed building at 1 Finsbury Avenue in Broadgate. Expect a similar menu of petiscos (snack), pratinhos (small plates) and pratos (large plates) with a focus on sharing and family feasting.

The interior sees the return of the hand-painted Portuguese “azulejos” tiles popular in the original restaurant, sitting alongside a marble counter imported from Aveiro in Portugal and a traditional mosaic floor made from hand-cut “Calçada Portuguesa” stone. There is also a sheltered outdoor terrace. Closed on Sundays.
