The ground floor main dining space - of the Proper Hotel in Downtown’s South Park - leans heavily into Portuguese-by-way-of-California flavor - from two of LA’s most accomplished restaurant owners - behind Larder, Lucques, A.O.C., and Tavern). Dine on a namesake large format soup as well as seafood like octopus braised in squid ink with olive purée, carrots braised in blood orange and pomegranate and clams with sherry, chickpeas, and onion blossoms.
