The standing-room-only Tacos 1986 restaurant is charismatic Jorge “Joy” Alvarez-Tostado first actual restaurant. The Tijuana-style taco operation debuted only late last year, quickly growing from its spot on a Hollywood sidewalk to multiple residencies to now this bricks and and mortar downtown location. It serves tacos, mulitas, quesadillas and vampiros featuring their celebrated adobada, asada and mushrooms, as well as the off-menu perrón until midnight. Open daily.
