Abernethy’s at the Music Center Plaza

A restaurant showcasing emerging chefs as part of the revamped Music Center Plaza.

Named after the center’s board vice chair Robert J. Abernethy, the Downtown restaurant (part of the Music Center’s $41 million renovation) features a new chef every three months. The idea is to reflect the diversity of Los Angeles with emerging chefs with food from all across the city.

Shirley Chung, chef at Ms. Chi in Culver City, is the restaurant’s inaugural chef. Other chefs include Pla and Fern Kaewtathip of Noree Thai and Luv2eat Thai Bistro, Ryan Costanza of Freedman’s, Jason Fullilove of the Magic Castle and Geter Atienza of Broken Spanish.
