Her Name Was Carmen

A contemporary Latin-style venue paying homage to the liveliness of Latin America in the '50s and '60s.

From Thatcher Shultz, the man behind The Garret, and Andres Diaz (Felix) is this Latin-American (multi-level) bistro-like restaurant with a predominantly raw seafood menu by Le Bernadin and Flora Bar alum Omar Ben Hammou. The tropical vibes decor (by Venezuelan-born Maurizio Bianchi Mattioli) are bright and eclectic - think deep blue walls, velvet couches and vases of palm leaves and exotic flowers. There’s also a lively lounge downstairs with hot pink walls and DJs who plays late into the night. Laidback yet spirited.
