The roadside space has had many recent guises (Rebelion, Tavern 1 Grill & Terra), however new owner Adolfo Garcia has form - and behind a number of highly rated establishements (Pearl Tavern, Son of a Butcher Tavern and Broken English) in Chicago.

The vibrant coastal Mexican vibe is evident from its shady patio, laid-back outdoor wicker seating and splashes of surfside decor and color along with original details such as the decades-old tile floor and wood-burning fireplace.  

As for the menu, there's a tight selection of seafood-centric snacks, including an octopus tostada, fish al pastor tacos, and shareable fare like guacamole with pork belly. The focus is on cocktails as much as anything else. Make sure to try one of their smoked mezcal negronis and / or margaritas.
