Tidbits by Dialogue

Santa Monica’s Michelin-starred Dialogue has reopened as an outdoor wine bar.

Found on the second floor of the Gallery Food Hall, Tidbits by Dialogue occupies the former Paperboy Pizza space next door to Dialogue, providing access to a large covered 30-seat patio area. Beran and his team have altered the restaurant’s menu significantly, shifting from the elaborately plated dishes to ten or so more approachable (and more affordable) small plates, though rooted in the ambitious seasonal cooking that defined Dialogue.

Dishes change weekly and include dishes such as pork belly with peach jus and konbu, grilled hanger steak with sea grapes and cauliflower and prawns a la plancha. The drinks menu features wines by the glass, a few beers and lower-alcohol cocktails made with vermouth or sherry.

Open from 4pm Wednesday to Saturday.

Signature Dishes

Roasted broccolini with anchovy, and vinaigrette; choy sum with strawberries, tamarind, and avocado; prawns a la plancha; skirt steak with sea grape, roast cauliflower, and Dialogue’s famous Basque cheesecake.
