Fingers Crossed by Evan Funke

Chef Evan Funke’s love letter to the Roman pizzeria in Hollywood.

Renowned for his tributes to traditional Italian cooking, at Felix restaurant in Venice, Fingers Crossed is simply "straight up Roman." As a six-month - evening only - residency, this al fresco dining experience can be found in a quaint piazza along Dream Alley - decorated with rustic patina iron work gates that open into a courtyard accentuated with lush greenery, ivy-wrapped walls, and adorned with strands of outdoor lighting.

Starters include fried oxtail meatballs, heirloom tomato bruschetta, and buffalo mozzarella sfizi with prosciutto di parma. The rest of the menu fills out with pizzas and pastas, from the spicy diavola pizza to mezze rigatoni alla carbonara with guanciale and pecorino. A thoughtfully curated wine program pays homage to Italy’s best, complementing classically executed Italian cocktails. And, in true Italian fashion, there's a selection of caffé, espresso, Italian soda, and birre.

Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
