With locations in Madrid and Ibiza, Tatel restaurant in Beverly Hills is the brand’s first US location. The former location of Nic’s has been colorfully transformed with midcentury modern-inspired decor - pink bar stools surrounding an extensive tiled bar, blue velvet chairs, beachy rattan lanterns and a sumptuous wall of bougainvillea on the patio that would be as home in Ibiza as it is on Canon Drive.
The menu is helmed by Michelin-starred chef Luigi Fineo, a veteran of the French Laundry, Bouchon, RivaBella and Luigi al Teatro, focuses on organic and locally sourced ingredients, Mediterranean recipes and classic Spanish seafood dishes. Think paella for two prepared tableside and a Spanish tortilla with black truffle. Impromptu dancing fueled by well-garnished cocktails, and live music add to the true party vibe of the place.
Spanish flair
Bluefin tuna carpaccio with housemade olive oil; a traditional seafood paella with Carabineros prawns; grilled Spanish octopus that’s served with Canary Island potatoes and drizzled with a housemade Mojo sauce, and a whole deboned branzino that’s grilled over almond wood prepared tableside with roasted lemon and garlic and cheesecake served with a scoop of house-made vanilla ice cream and granola crumbles.
El Matador with El Tesoro Reposado, Ilegal Joven, basil, and serrano, and the Spanish G&T with house tonic, Ginraw, peppercorn, and herbs. In a nod to their new neighborhood, there's a take on a carajillo in Cafe Canon, with Licor 43, Belvedere, Chambord, and espresso.
