Finnjävel at COMO The Halkin

A pop-up restaurant from Michelin-starred Tommi Tuominen of Finnjävel celebrating the best of Nordic cuisine.

The world’s only Michelin starred restaurant serving Finnish food is taking over The Halkin hotel from 21st March for just two weeks. The exclusive modern fine dining menu has been created by Finnish chef, Tommi Tuominen (the only chef in Finland to manage two Michelin-star restaurants), and features a range of traditional and modern Nordic dishes - made with locally sourced and seasonal ingredients, ranging from Karelian Pie to Glassblower’s Salmon and Blood Pancakes. Open for dinner from Tuesday to Saturday the pop-up also features elements of Nordic design and décor. A six-course tasting menu is priced at £130 - lactose-free, gluten-free and vegetarian options are available.

Signature Dishes

Open sandwich with anchovy mousse, egg and dill; liver mousse with barley and raisins; raw salmon cured in vinegar and served with seasonal vegetables; chicken and rice served with blackcurrants; potato foam with roe and crispy potato and traditional cake with seasonal berries.

Signature Drinks

During the two-week exclusive pop-up, the award-winning Helsinki Distilling Company are running two gin masterclasses alongside the restaurant pop-up which provides an in-depth look at the history, distillation process, and unique flavors of Finnish gin. The classes take place on Saturday 18th and 25th of March from 2:30pm.
