LCD Soundsystem's front man, James Murhpy, has opened a wine bar in Brooklyn, and luckily they take reservations.
This is Murphy's first foray into the world of hospitality, though he has a well documented love for good food and wine. Dance-punk band LCD Soundsytem retired five years ago, and he has since decided to turn a passion into a business. The Four Horsemen focuses on natural wines, starting with 160 labels and aiming to reach 350 eventually.
Wine expert, friend and former rocker himself Justin Chearno is on board too - he, in fact, hosted a wine tasting class with Murphy on the festival cruise S.S. Coachella a few years ago - as well as Franny's former chef Nick Curtola, creating a menu of bar snacks and larger plates - such as raw Montauk scallops with pearly morsels of finger lime and white soy, or rosy chopped beef tartare with buttermilk and sesame. Naturally, the acoustics, sound system and sound track are on point.
