The back patio porch at Eveleigh is one of the Sunset Strip’s wonders. Rustic and chic at the same time, a night here is always a pleasure. To entice guests to come in between 5 and 7 p.m., the bar team and executive chef Jared Levy recently introduced a European-flavored tradition: sherry-based pre-dinner drinks.
Not to worry, you can still get your elevated cocktails (Manhattans here are just right) but the sherry-laden drinks are lower in alcohol. Try a dry Lustau, Fino “Jarana” with Newsom’s Country Ham or a crisp side of Monterey anchovies and Alexand Jules 17/71 Manzanilla. The low rise, comfy and cushioned banquettes, under market lights, are the place to dine and drink on the Sunset Strip for lunch, brunch or dinner.
