Cobble Hill's Clover Club is a cocktail institution, and now founder and industry visionary Julie Reiner has opened another bar around the corner, focusing on Latin spirits beyond tequila and mezcal.

Clover Club is one of Brooklyn's leading cocktail bars, putting Cobble Hill on the cocktail map since 2008. Its founder Julie Reiner was amongst the torchbearers of the craft cocktail movement, opening up Flatiron Lounge and Pegu Club previously, and now Reiner has teamed with her Clover Club protege Ivy Mix to develop a new "pan-Latin" bar and restaurant nearby.

The drinks focus on the spirits and flavors of Latin America, looking beyond the usual gamut to play with cachaça, pisco, rum, sherry, raicilla and more, such as the Buena Onda featuring Yerba mate-infused Chilean pisco, lemon, lime, egg white, and hopped grapefruit bitters. Sue Torres - formerly of Suenos - has developed the menu. Expect small plates such as tequila shrimp arepas, goat tacos, and bean and cheese pupusas with chicharrones. There will be room for 50 diners, as well as the bar area and a large patio.

Signature Dishes

Papas rellenas — stuffed potatoes drizzled with tomatillo avocado sauce — and a citrus tequila shrimp arepa.

Signature Drinks

The Tia Mia, a mai tai riff made with mezcal, toasted-almond orgeat, lime, Jamaican rum, and orange curaçao.
