Milo + Olive

Expanded earlier this year, Santa Monica’s Milo + Olive now features expanded seating, daily breakfast and weekend brunch.

From the same owners as Rustic Canyon, Huckleberry and Esters Wine and Cassia (the later two opening in summer 2015), Milo + Olive is a comfy eatery with elevated food and service. Pizzas from the wood-fired oven are the specialty, hand-crafted to order. Farm-to-table cuisine may seem a cliché, but it’s the delectable reality at Milo + Olive where pizza toppings and salad ingredients are fresh from the Santa Monica Farmers Market and local artisan purveyors.

Pastas are made in-house as well. Don’t miss the spider-web thin cappelini (topped with walnut pesto in season) or the wood-fired, super-rich macaroni and cheese. Beer and wine selections are from boutique producers; coffee and desserts here are among the best in Los Angeles. Room design is somewhat spare but keeps the focus on the food and drink. Counter and table seating was doubled in the expansion.
