The Seahorse at The Idle Rocks

Luxury British retreat The Idle Rocks is to host the award winning restaurant, The Seahorse, for a culinary evening in July - celebrating seafood caught in the south west.

Acclaimed restaurateur, chef, author and co-owner of The Seahorse, Mitch Tonks and his partner chef, Mat Prowse, will be taking over the dinner menu at The Idle Rocks, for the second time. The evening (in July) will encompass a summer fruit de mer extravaganza - a celebration of the very best of local and seasonal ingredients.

Expect lobster, crab, langoustine, oysters, prawns, winkles and whelks spectacularly heaped on ice in the bar accompanied by mayonnaise, pickles and freshly baked bread - served with cocktails and Champagne throughout the evening. Priced at £65 per person for a started and fruit de mer.

The boutique hotel – built on the site of an old bakery – is located in picturesque St Mawes harbour with views out towards the sea. A local institution, it was taken over by former Aston Martin chairman David Richards and his wife Karen in 2010.
