Norah

This new restaurant in West Hollywood comes from Rohan Talwar of the acclaimed Ellipsis in Bombay.

The kitchen is headed up by chef Mike Williams, who has joined from the Tasting Kitchen in Venice, while the general manager, John Snowden, was formerly at Goldie’s and Eveleigh.

With a focus on seasonal, local products, the restaurant offers an eclectic American menu ranging from freshly shucked oysters and housemade charcuterie to meats, fish and vegetables from the wood fired grill.

Norah’s cocktail program is led by Aussie Hamish McShane, previously of Sydney’s Bayswater Brasserie and Salon Blanc, who brings his passion and talent for fresh, seasonal cocktails and housemade cordials.

The airy space, designed by Thomas Schoos, features big windows looking out on the boulevard, with two bars on either side of the light-filled dining room. Schoos adorned both the exterior and interior of the restaurant with live trees creating the illusion of a forest growing through the restaurant and continued this vision with white oak flooring flowing into the private garden behind the restaurant. Marble tabletops and handcrafted furniture furnish the space.
