Located on the corner of Wilshire and Figueroa and housed in the former Cucina Rustica location, the space has been given a massive makeover resulting in a very modern dining room with plenty of floor-to-ceiling glass.
Chef Gavin Mills, who previously worked at Tavern, is heading up the kitchen, with a nod to Mediterranean flavors, including homemade charcuterie and freshly prepared pasta as well as wood fired pizza. The market-driven menu is focused on seasonal ingredients from a small group of handpicked farmers, with fresh salads and dishes from the land and sea on offer.
Front of house is run by Tyler Dow, the former GM of Faith & Flower, as well as beverage director Josh Allen and there’s a real focus on whiskey at Miro, with a downstairs bar offering access to a fantastic collection of 400 rare vintage whiskies from around the world. The Whiskey Room is a sophisticated and luxurious space, a completely private room set apart from the other areas of the restaurant and bar.
