A cousin of the Belmond Hotel Cipriani Venice (two of the Cipriani brothers run the hotel and restaurant), Mr. C occupies the ground floor of the Venetian-influenced Mr. C Hotel. The décor is reminiscent of Harry’s Bar and the white-jacketed waiters ooze European charm.
Because this is L.A., Mr. C just added several 10-seat banquettes and dining tables next to the pool. Sheltered by colorful umbrellas, sit poolside for a refreshing Bellini (the house specialty and invented at the Venice original) or for a Hollywood power lunch—several studios and talent agencies are nearby. Holidays are especially busy at the restaurant as it’s become a go-to celebratory spot for Beverly Hills’ locals.
