What started as a humble burger joint has become one of the biggest success stories among Californian upscale fast food chains, with a growing international portfolio.
But with the debut of a new Santa Monica location comes a new menu, with new items ranging from sticky wings to smothered fries, cheesy butter corn and falafel.
Soon the new menu will be available at other locations, but exclusive to the new Santa Monica outpost is the Hawaiian comfort food classic Loco Moco: beef patty, rice patty ‘buns’ with gravy, a fried egg and chives.
Of course the Umami classics are still there, including the original burger, truffle burger, Hatch burger, Greenbird and ahi tuna sandwich and there's a full bar with beer, wine and cocktails, too.
This new restaurant is part of Sway Santa Monica, a new mixed-use development at Fifth Street and Broadway, a mere block or two from the new Metro Downtown Santa Monica Station and close to the ocean.
