Bruckner Market

Developer Keith Rubenstein is bringing a warehouse food hall to South Bronx in conjunction to a massive residential project.

Food halls seem to be the food trend du jour these days and now South Bronx is about to get its own. From developer Keith Rubenstein, who has taken a special interest in revitalizing the area,  this 16,000-square-foot warehouse will soon be filled with food stands, local markets, and satellite bars, plus a beer garden and maybe even a microbrewery.

While there is no official news out about who will be involved, chef Massimo Bottura has been hinting that he's opening a new project in South Bronx, so all eyes are waiting to see if this could be the mystery location.

Purchased for a cool $7.5million, this new eating destination is directly across the street from a residential space that Rubenstein is also behind. While the market is still at least a year away from opening, it looks to be the start of a new and vibrant neighborhood.

Opens 2018.
