From the same Minnesota duo who brought U the Greenpoint neighborhood bar, Lake Street, comes this vaguely 1970s bar on Nassau Ave. Low lit and sexy, it evokes an old school divey casino with red velvet booths, glittery gold tables, black & white checkered tile floor, and a horseshoe shaped bar dripping with golden tassels. Take a look at those paintings: vintage (and a couple specially commissioned) velvet paintings make a serious statement.
The menu keeps to its dive roots with $6 boilermaker specials - featuring the champagne of beers, Miller High Life - plus nearly a dozen beers on draft. They've got U covered with cocktails as well, if that's what U fancy. The menu is filled with twists on classics plus a few originals like the Derry Mayor with Rye, grapefruit and raspberry preserve.
Word on the street is a backyard is in the works, but for now this local is spot is perfect for when you want a touch of glam with your rock & roll, with a side of tasty booze.
