Honey Hi

This new spot in Echo Park is geared for healthy eats offering vegetarian bowls, gluten-free tartines and bone broth.

Named after a Fleetwood Mac song, it might have a playful ring to it but Honey Hi is serious about making flavorful, healthy food. Partners Caitlin and Kacie have a background in nutrition and restaurants and the ethos is all about local, seasonal and organic ingredients.

With a minimalist vibe, the shop on Sunset Boulevard features a deli case and a fridge full of locally made goods: from kimchi to kombucha and vegan cheese.

The menu is mainly focused on bowls – try the Moroccan Bowl with grass-fed Marin Sun Farms beef & lamb harissa meatballs, tomato tagine, wilted greens, zucchini noodles and spicy carrot fennel slaw. Other options include gluten-free tartines, bone broth and a whole lot of healthy drinks.
