Lyon is a Los Angeles native, but his culinary career has taken him all over the country, including being part of the opening team at New York's famed Daniel restaurant, and working at Balthazar. He went on to become the chef de cuisine at Pastis before opening his own New York spot, Sascha Restaurant and Bakery.
Now back on his home turf, has opened Commerson in collaboration with his wife, artist and designer Rita Lyon.
Named after French botanist Philibert Commerson, this new restaurant on LA Brea Avenue, is true homecoming for this talented chef.

The wine selection focuses on varietals from France and Italy, while the cocktails lean toward fresh and simple with selections like the Call Me, Maybe with New Amsterdam gin, pink grapefruit and agave nectar.
