Sushi Bouhadana

After a winter of slinging top notch sushi in the Bowery food court, award-winning sushi chef, David Bouhadana, is about to open a new spot.

It may seem unlikely that a tiny two-seat counter in an outdoor food market on Jones would become the hit sushi spot of the Winter, but somehow Sushi Jones was just that. Thankfully, owner-operator David Bouhadana is taking his expert experience in fish and bringing it indoors with (slightly) more seats.

Opening soon on Eldridge Street in the former home of Apizz, Sushi Bouhadana will still be small with an intimate, 10-12 seats available at their sushi bar where an exclusive menu of the chefs omakase will be available. Originally called Nishiwaki, there will also be an 18-seatwhiskey bar where an al la carte menu will be available with sushi, donburi bowls, wagyu beef, and dishes like his butter miso cod.

David Bouhadana has had an incredible career despite barely being over the age of 30. Originally from Florida, he trained with sushi masters in the US and Japan and was the founder of Sushi Dojo, which earned rave reviews as well as a spot on Zagats 30 Under 30 List.
