A few steps from the famous Opéra Garnier is this iconic institution - formerly owned by actor Gerard Depardieu. Housed in a handsome 17th century townhouse, the historic French-style restaurant (complete with wood panelling and velvet seating) and delightful. terrace - is helmed by the famous chef Marc Veyrat. It is his second Parisian address - who's known as much for his talent as for his outspokenness - after the opening of Rural by Marc Veyrat at the Palais des Congrès.

Here, expect a menu giving pride of place to fresh fish and seafood dishes such as crayfish casserole, lobster carpaccio and bouillabaisse - accompanied by a fine selection of wines - a nod to the former owner of the premises. Make sure to request a table on their terrace, which is one of the most pleasant in Paris.
