Ophelia

This new rooftop lounge atop the Beekman Tower offers 360-degree views of the East River and Manhattan skyline.

Ophelia, a 2,500-square-foot, 100-seat bar, is housed in the former location of Top of the Tower, a historic watering hole that hosted the likes of include Frank Sinatra and Miles Davis. Situated on the 26th floor of the Beekman Tower, one of the New York City’s art deco jewels, Ophelia aims to capture its history while offering a contemporary dining and drinking experience.

The interior takes U back to the height of the Art Deco movement in the 1920s and 1930s, and features a grand terrace designed to resemble the inside of a jewelry box fitted with velvet furnishings.

Executive Chef Stephen Putnam oversees a menu of small dishes with locally sourced ingredients. But what U really need to try here is the classic caviar service served by the ounce.

Mixologist Amir Babayoff from Barley & Grain has created a drinks menu with modern classics and signature cocktails, with apt names such as The Flapper, The Fitzgerald or the Purple Tuxedo.

If U’re looking for a cocktail experience with class, incredible views and a lot of Manhattan history, look no further than Ophelia.
