Petit Trois Sherman Oaks

The wait is finally over: Los Angeles’s best-known French chef Ludo Lefebvre and his chef partners have opened their second Petit Trois in Sherman Oaks.

Offering a taste of Paris in the middle of the Valley, the new restaurant ( from Lefebvre and his partners Vinny Dotolo and Jon Shook of Animal and Son of a Gun) is a larger and a grander version of the original bistro in West Hollywood, with 70 seats as well as a 30-seat private room and a bigger menu.

There is daily service from breakfast through dinner, ranging from pastries and quiches in the morning, to salads and sandwiches at lunch, and steak frites and beef bourguignon for dinner.

The interior is quintessentially French: there are pastel banquettes and curved ceilings, with mirrors and tall front windows. Hancock Design has overseen the decor of the space and added period touches such as muted gold lighting and a lush marble bar.

It has been one of the most eagerly anticipated restaurant openings in Los Angeles in recent years but Petit Trois Sherman Oaks has definitely been worth the wait.
