Around the corner from Herald Square, it's a very welcome addition to an area with a serious dearth of decent upmarket bars.
Indoors, there are vast velvet winged armchairs, and a DJ booth which plays hosts to some recognizable names, while outside there are plentiful sofas from which to admire the famous architecture of midtown, from eighteen floors up.
The cocktail list includes creative concoctions such as the Empire Tea Thyme, made with tea-infused honey vodka, and the Duskywing Collins, containing bourbon and crème de mure.
There’s also a menu of small plates (cheeses, shrimp cevice), larger plates (paninis, lobster club sandwiches), pizzas and flatbreads.
