Asher Shalom, the chief executive of Asher Fabrics, a textile company that works with Ralph Lauren, AG Jeans and Diane von Fürstenberg, has opened a new restaurant in Boyle Heights.
Asher Caffè & Lounge, located across the street from their textile business, is a joint-venture with his wife Jackie. Here, the couple serve up deliciously kosher-certified salads, sandwiches, breakfast dishes and flatbreads. Coffee and tea come courtesy of LAMill and there’s also a delightful selection of housemade breads and pastries.
Asher Caffè & Lounge is open for breakfast and lunch during the week and closed weekends for private functions.
With the opening of this restaurant the Shaloms have gone from rags to dishes.
