Tesse

Veteran L.A. restaurateur Bill Chait – the man behind hotspots including Bestia, Republique and Otium – is back, this time on the Sunset Strip.

Tesse brings U French technique along with impressive house-made charcuterie boards, handmade pasta and hearty meat dishes from the grill.

The name, Tesse, serves as a nod to the French word délicatesse, meaning “delicacy”. Housed in a sleek, modern space and helmed by French chef Raphael Francois, who previously worked with two-Michelin-starred French female chef Helene Darroze.

His menu is quintessentially French with pâtés such as pork with green fresh peppercorn or duck terrine with smoked Bourbon, pistachio as well as a range of different saucissons; among the sharable dishes are a lobster sausage, a spread of brie with Australian black truffles and country loaf, and blue crab simplissime; while mains include bucatini with bone marrow, a whole daurade (sea bream), and a pork chop with boudin noir.

The extensive wine list has been curated by Jordan Ogron and wines are available as three-ounce pours, making the list accessible and affordable to taste.

Tesse is open for dinner every night from 6pm to10:30pm.
