Hasiba is named after Amsalam’s Moroccan grandmother, and was inspired by a recent trip to Israel. It has been designed to resemble a hummusiya, an Israeli neighborhood restaurant that focuses on hummus and pita bread. But it’s really a love letter to Middle Eastern flavors and classics such as blistered pita, sabich, shakshuka and more. The all-vegetarian and kosher menu blends traditional dishes with innovative takes on classics, such as the wild mushroom hummus with local onion, herbs and chermoula.
