Mrs. Fish

The aquatic-themed nightclub in Downtown L.A. has made way for a contemporary Japanese restaurant and bar.

With every detail in place, Mrs. Fish welcomes diners and drinkers, locals and tourists alike, to experience modern Japanese cuisine and a robust whisky program in a stunningly designed, art-filled DTLA oasis. Mrs. Fish combines food, art from the hottest galleries in Tokyo, and drink to create an unparalleled dining and drinking experience in an immersive environment that is at once Zen-like and provocative.

Anchored by a 5500-gallon salt water ceiling fish tank, the source of Mrs. Fish’s name, the restaurant features two sushi bars, a formal dining room, a lounge, a whisky bar, and a communal dining table.

The menu offers both cold and hot Japanese dishes, with fish delivered directly from Tokyo’s Tsukiji Fish market. Try the sushi Sasaku style, where the chef complements each piece of sushi with flavors that enhance each bite. Choose from snacks of Tsukemono, house made pickled vegetables or Senbei, spicy edamame; cold dishes of Silken Tofu Salad  with gem lettuce, cucumber, avocado, and yuzu sesame soy or Momotaro Tomato Salad with daikon, spicy greens and sesame vinaigrette; hot dishes of Shishito Peppers with turnip purée, tare, shimeji mushrooms and citrus zest or Thai Snapper with dashi, shimeji mushroom, cabbage mitsuba and fresh bamboo; and luxurious and indulgent dishes of Lobster Uni Pasta and Wagyu Strip Steak

A whisky lovers paradise, Mrs. Fish has an extensive collection featuring rare single malt aged bottles like Komagatake, a 30-year old Ichiro’s Malt, Single Cask #708, and 21-year old Hibki.

Inspired by Tokyo nights filled with late-night dining and drinking, Mrs. Fish is perfect for everything from an afterwork drink at the bar to a refined Omakase dinner or the last-drink-of-the-night at one of its many bars.
