Jupiter Disco is a cocktail bar in Bushwick that feels like a journey to another world. On a particularly industrial block near the Jefferson L stop, enter through a dark hallway with a wall of purple lights into a dimly lit space filled with solid drinking options, one of the best sound systems in Bushwick, and a solid dose of geekery. The brainchild of Al Sotack and Maks Pazuniak, formerly of New York’s famous Death & Co and the acclaimed New Orleans bar Cure respectively, this is the kind of place to sit back to awesome beats and maybe let your hair down.
Housed in a former cheque-cashing office, this intimate bar is all dark metal with colored light accents and random bits of old machinery around, giving it all the feeling of a well broken-in spaceship. The menus scroll on TV monitors in a green eight-bit font, like an old computer, divided up into different sections to get you in the appropriate mood. Beyond just cocktails, they also have a great beer selection some served from custom draft taps that only support the space-like theme.
Impressing friends, fun nights out.
Weird and wonderful cocktails.
