L'Entente undoes the prejudice that the French have over British cuisine, in the most charming and delectable of ways. The interior decor is remiscent of an English club with muted blues and staff in livery with small onions. Lovely and charming to almost a fault. The atmosphere is welcoming and warm, dotted with trendy Parisians and expats. And the cuisine and wine list are simply to die for.
The cuisine at L'Entente will have you thinking about it like a good date, until your next visit. And it is easy to see why from the XXL fries (cooked in three times), to the terrine of rabbit and pork served as a starter with a perfect homemade chutney, toast and extra pickles to the must have two welsh ravigotants (English-style croque monsieur with cheddar, beer, English mustard and Worcestershire sauce), everything is scrumtious.
Yet, what is truly entertaining about this address is that it shows the prowess of the English cuisine, while giving a whimsical nod to French fare.
A very British affair
Terrine of rabbit and pork served as a starter with a perfect homemade chutney, toast and extra pickles. Two welsh ravigotants (English-style croque monsieur with cheddar, beer, English mustard and Worcestershire sauce).
