L’Épi d’Or by Jean-François Piège

A considered reboot of this storied establishment, dishing up classic bourgeoise and seasonal cuisine, by the acclaimed Michelin-starred chef.

Before branching out on his own with neighbourhood bistro Clover and his two Michelin-starred Grand Restaurant, Jean-François Piège worked at Le Crillon Hotel under Christian Constant, followed by the Plaza Athénée Hotel under Alain Ducasse. Having also reinstated the venerable La Poule au Pot restaurant, Piège has set upon another iconic dining institution in Les Halles with L’Épi d’Or, which dates back to 1880. Expect reasonably priced, unpretentious, yet gastronomically accomplished hearty French comfort food and timeless classics. Closed on weekends.
